Chicago Idealist Network was formed to aid individuals and groups interested in community service, activism, advocacy, and socially responsible work in the Chicago area.

Our mission is to build community by bringing together Chicagoans and resources that will empower members in their search for positive community change, both professionally and personally. As a collective, we seek to explore new methods for connecting with others, understanding our community and making it easy to get involved.

CIN grows as people come together to meet and discuss their city and their ideas. It continues to be a volunteer-led project and is open to new energy and suggestions.

We're currently not active, though this website is actively streaming idealist.org Chicago posts and our google group listserv is in fact active. There is a new 'Chicago Idealist Network' that has also formed recently, in case you've found the wrong site. They can be found HERE.
